How credits work
Reading on StoryKix is paid for in credits. Every action that moves a story forward — turning the page to the next chapter, summoning a painted scene image — costs a small number of credits.
The costs are the same in every story:
- Continue to the next chapter — 10 credits.
- Painted scene image — 10 credits, the first time you reveal it in a chapter.
- Listen to a chapter — free. Narration is on every story and never costs credits.
A full forty-to-seventy-minute story typically uses a few hundred credits if you read straight through.
You start with 50 credits. Signing in for the first time, with any method, grants 50 credits to your account immediately — enough for about five chapters on top of your free preview.
Daily credits. Open StoryKix any day after that and you can spin the wheel for a free credit grant. Most spins land on 10 credits — the baseline — but the wheel can land higher, with rare jackpot slices going well into the hundreds. One spin per calendar day. You do not have to read; opening the site is enough.
If you would like more credits than the daily top-ups provide, see Buying credits. To read freely without counting credits, see Subscriptions.
